monkey on one's back, Slang. a. an addiction to a drug or drugs; b. an enduring and often vexing habit or urge; c. a dysfunctional attachment to an experience.

A multi-media performance theatre piece designed to fit the unique Marks Garage storefront space, Monkey on my Back, through a series of vignettes, probes the underbelly of human nature as it explores the addictions, obsessions, and compulsions that permeate our lives. The nighttime activities of downtown Chinatown provide a backdrop to the performance and add a spontaneity and real life intensity to the theme.
