Director Yukie Shiroma revisits the Waikiki, USO, Nisei, and drag clubs of World War II Honolulu. In the nostalgic faux-tropical setting of the Hawaiian Hut, Club Monkey explores the influence of visiting cultures on our Native Hawaiian and local communities intensified in the shadow of war.
